How It Works
Get the Highest Resolution Version of Any Image
Websites often display thumbnail or compressed versions of images to load pages faster. The full resolution original file is usually available at a different URL. Pixovio shows you the pixel dimensions of whatever URL you paste โ so you can verify you are getting the full resolution version before downloading.
When you click Download, Pixovio saves the file exactly as it exists at the source URL. No additional compression, no quality reduction, no watermarks. What the server has is what you get.
How to Find the Full Resolution Image URL
- Right-click the image โ Open image in new tab โ the URL in the address bar is the direct image file
- Look for URL parameters like ?w=800 or ?size=medium โ try removing these to get the full size
- URLs containing /thumb/ or /small/ โ try replacing with /original/ or /large/
- For Pinterest: URLs with 236x or 474x โ replace with originals for full resolution
- Use browser DevTools (F12) โ Network tab โ filter by Img to see all image requests and find the largest one
Step-by-Step: Download Full Resolution Images
- Find the image on any website.
- Right-click the image and select "Open image in new tab" โ this loads the raw image file.
- In the new tab, copy the full URL from the address bar.
- Open pixovio.xyz and paste the URL.
- Click Pixovio โ โ the preview shows the pixel dimensions (e.g. 4000ร3000px).
- If the dimensions look correct, click Download to save at full resolution.
- If dimensions seem small, go back and look for a higher resolution URL using the tips above.
๐ก Dimension Check: Pixovio shows you the exact pixel dimensions of every image in the preview (e.g. JPG ยท 3840ร2160px). Use this to confirm you have the full resolution version before downloading. If you see something like 300ร200px, the URL is pointing to a thumbnail โ look for a larger version.
